PICATINNY MOUNTS
The mount is the link between the sight and the rail. The precision of the production determines the precision of the shot. We stock mounts in steel and aluminium from leading European manufacturers - customised for your scope and setup.
FIND YOUR ASSEMBLY
Choose height and ring diameter - then we'll show you the mounts that fit.
Our selection is currently limited. If you can't find the right mount, please contact us – we will help you find the right solution.
Fixed or QR/QD?
Both types can maintain the zero point - the use case determines what you should choose.
Fixed mounting
Screwed to the rail. Highest stiffness and lowest weight. The first choice when the scope needs to stay on all season.
QR / QD (removable)
Detachable mount with hand-tightened lever or clamping mechanism. QR and QD cover the same principle - the scope leaves the rifle without tools and returns to the same zero point within a few mm when correctly mounted. Ideal when switching between optics or needing to pack away the scope.
Steel or aluminum?
Steel and aluminum are both excellent materials for Picatinny mounts. The difference lies in weight, rigidity, and surface treatment.
Steel
The proven choice for mounts. Extremely rigid and dimensionally stable – the same material as the receiver in almost all rifles. Steel mounts can be QPQ-treated, which provides a surface that is harder than traditional bluing and virtually immune to corrosion.
Aluminum
Modern alloys like 7075-T6 are as hard as many types of steel – and are used in both aviation and aerospace. Mounts made from 7075 aluminum are the preferred choice for numerous special forces. Significantly lighter, without compromising durability or rigidity.
Protection against weather, wear and rust
The surface determines how long the assembly retains its finish - and how it withstands moisture and field use.
Black anodized
An anodizing process that hardens the aluminum surface and creates a dense oxide layer. The assembly gets a matte, black finish that resists scratches and moisture without maintenance. The surface remains intact season after season, even with daily field use.
Burnished steel
A classic surface treatment that gives the steel mount a warm, dark tone. Visually matches almost all rifles. Protects against corrosion, but requires regular oiling to maintain its condition - especially in humid climates. Not the most durable solution, but the most traditional.
QPQ / Tenifer
Thermochemical hardening that penetrates the steel and makes the surface harder than chrome. The assembly can be exposed to salt, rain, and heavy wear year after year without showing signs of degradation. Requires no maintenance whatsoever - install once and forget it.
